Oxo Compact Cold Brew Coffee Maker

Oxo Compact Cold Brew Coffee Maker

Cold brew doesn't have to take over your kitchen counters, save space with the Oxo Compact Cold Brew Coffee Maker. A brewer sized for compact places, the Compact Cold Brewer is designed to make half the amount of cold brew concentrate as the full-size Oxo Cold Brew Coffee Maker without sacrificing any of the features. This miniature brewer still packs in Oxo's reusable mesh outlet filter and rain shower lid, while adding an easy auto valve for draining. Makes up to 24 ounces of cold brew concentrate. Dishwasher safe.

What's In The Box
OXO Compact Cold Brew Coffee Maker brewing tower, Borosilicate glass carafe with cork stopper. Note: Non-electric — no power required. Makes approximately 24oz of cold brew concentrate.

Setup & First Use

The OXO Compact Cold Brew is a smaller version of the full OXO Cold Brew system, making approximately 24oz of concentrate (vs. 32oz in the full-size model). It is non-electric — no power required.

Rinse all components before first use. Add approximately 5oz (1.75 cups) of coarsely ground coffee to the compact brewing tower. Pour approximately 20oz of cold water over the Rainmaker lid for even distribution. Stir gently and cover. Steep 12–24 hours at room temperature or in the refrigerator.

The compact version is sized to fit in most refrigerator doors when fully assembled — under 11 inches tall. This makes refrigerator steeping practical for those who prefer it.

Tutorials & Training

Draining and Using

Place the glass carafe under the tower outlet and flip the auto-valve (bottom of the compact tower) to drain. The stainless steel mesh filter keeps grounds out of the concentrate. Dilute 1:1 to 1:3 with water or milk at serving time. Store concentrate refrigerated up to 2 weeks.

Half-Batch Option

For smaller volumes, use half the standard dose: approximately 2.5oz coffee and 10oz water for approximately 8–10oz of concentrate. The compact tower handles smaller batches without the quality penalty that larger systems sometimes show at lower volumes.

Cleaning & Maintenance

After Each Batch

Discard spent grounds from the brew tower. Rinse the tower, Rainmaker lid, and outlet filter under warm water. The mesh filter can be removed by unscrewing the filter cap — rinse thoroughly. All components are dishwasher safe on the top rack. Wash the glass carafe by hand or in the dishwasher.

Troubleshooting

Concentrate Draining Very Slowly

Grind too fine. Use a coarser grind for the next batch — the coarseness of raw sugar is a good target. Fine grounds clog the mesh filter and slow or stop drainage.

Concentrate Tastes Weak

Steep longer (up to 24 hours) or increase coffee dose. Ensure grounds are fully saturated — stir gently after adding water.
