Jura Z10 Superautomatic Espresso Machine

Jura Z10 Superautomatic Espresso Machine

Sip on your favorite coffees all summer long with the Jura Z10 espresso machine. A first for superautomatics, the Z10 offers a unique cold coffee setting that adjusts grind setting, lengthens brew time, and skips the heat step to create a rich coffee concentrate perfect served over ice or in milk. Coupled with this is Jura's new Product Recognizing Grinder (PRG) an electronic grind adjustment system that automatically adjusts grind sizes coarser when cold drink options are selected. You also get a bevy of other convenience-focused features—like one-touch milk drinks, flavored cold foam with the included Sweet Foam attachment, smart water filtration, barista cup lights, and Jura's connected JOE app. One-touch cold brew is yours with the Jura Z10 superautomatic espresso machine.

What's In The Box
Jura Z10 superautomatic espresso machine, Sweet Foam attachment, Milk system with milk pipe, Scoop, Machine cleaner tablets, Milk system cleaner tablets, Milk cleaning container, Water filter (CLEARYL Smart+), Filter installation tool, Power cord.

Setup & First Use

Place the Z10 on a level, water-resistant surface. The Z10 features Jura's premium design with curved flowing lines and an external faceted water tank (64oz / 1.9L) that pulls away from the side for easy filling. Plug in and follow first-use setup: set language, water hardness, and install the CLEARYL Smart+ filter.

Fill the 280g (10oz) bean hopper. The Z10 features Jura's PRG (Product Recognizing Grinder) — an electronically controlled grinder that automatically changes grind setting when you switch between hot and cold drink menus. You do not need to manually adjust the grinder when moving between espresso and cold brew modes.

Connect the milk pipe for one-touch milk drinks. The Z10 uses Jura's HP3 Professional Fine Foam system — the same high-performance frother found in the E8 — for the finest microfoam.

Install the Sweet Foam attachment (included) to enable flavored foam specialties. This attachment mixes syrup into steamed milk automatically — add your preferred Jura-compatible syrup to the Sweet Foam attachment before brewing flavored lattes or cappuccinos.

Tutorials & Training

32 Specialties Including Cold Coffee

The Z10 is Jura's top home model with 32 recipes including hot espresso, ristretto, coffee, lungo, cappuccino, flat white, latte macchiato, milk foam, cold foam, cold coffee, cold espresso, cold coffee over ice, and Sweet Foam specialties. Cold specialties appear in a dedicated menu — selecting them automatically activates the PRG grinder to shift to a coarser grind for cold extraction.

Cold Coffee Extraction

Cold coffee extraction uses cool water at low temperature, a coarser grind, and extended brew time to create a concentrate with lower acidity and natural sweetness — similar to cold brew but produced in seconds rather than hours. Serve over ice or in cold milk. The Z10 does not use pre-chilled water — cold extraction produces a room-temperature concentrate; add ice at serving time.

PRG Auto-Grind Adjust

When you navigate to the cold coffee menu, the PRG grinder electronically shifts to a coarser setting without any manual adjustment. When you return to hot beverages, it shifts back. This is fully automatic and transparent in operation.

Sweet Foam

Fill the Sweet Foam attachment with your flavored syrup (compatible Jura syrups sold separately at seattlecoffeegear.com). Select a Sweet Foam specialty — the machine will froth the milk with syrup mixed in automatically. Clean the attachment after each use by running a rinse cycle with warm water.

3D Brewing and Intelligent Preheating

Like the E8, the Z10 uses 3D Brewing and intelligent preheating for consistent temperature and even extraction across all hot specialties.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily Milk Rinse

After milk drinks, run the milk system rinse from the machine menu. Disassemble and rinse the HP3 frother components after each day's use.

Sweet Foam Attachment

After using Sweet Foam, rinse the attachment with warm water immediately — syrup residue dries quickly and is difficult to remove if left. Disassemble fully for weekly cleaning.

Weekly

Run cleaning tablet cycles. Perform full milk system clean. Replace CLEARYL Smart+ filter when prompted.

Descaling

Descale when prompted using Jura descaling tablets. The Smart+ filter helps reduce descaling frequency.

Troubleshooting

Cold Coffee Not Brewing / Grinder Not Switching

Ensure you have selected a cold coffee specialty from the dedicated cold menu — selecting a hot recipe does not activate the PRG. If the grinder is not adjusting, try a factory restart from the machine settings.

Sweet Foam Not Dispensing Syrup

Check that the Sweet Foam attachment is filled and properly attached. Rinse the attachment to clear any dried syrup blocking the flow channel.

Milk Foam Quality Poor

Use cold full-fat dairy milk at 37–40°F. Disassemble and clean the HP3 frother completely.
