What's In The Box
Jura E6 superautomatic espresso machine, Fine Foam Frother (HP1 milk system) with milk pipe, Scoop, Machine cleaner tablets, Milk system cleaner tablets, Milk cleaning container, Water filter (CLEARYL Smart), Filter installation tool, Power cord.

Setup & First Use

Place the E6 on a level, water-resistant surface. Plug in and follow the on-screen first-use setup: set language, water hardness, and install the CLEARYL Smart filter cartridge. Fill the 64oz (1.9L) water tank with cold water.

Fill the bean hopper (10oz / 280g capacity) with whole beans. The E6 uses the same Professional Aroma Grinder as the E4 — adjust grind size via the dial inside the hopper while the grinder is running. Start at setting 4.

The E6 includes the HP1 Fine Foam Frother for one-touch milk drinks. Attach the milk pipe to the frother and submerge the intake end in fresh, cold milk (ideally 37–39°F). The machine draws milk automatically when a milk-based recipe is selected.

The E6 brews 11 specialties including espresso, ristretto, coffee, cappuccino, latte macchiato, flat white, milk foam, and hot water. It also includes a powder chute for pre-ground coffee.

Tutorials & Training

Milk Drinks — One Touch

Connect the milk pipe to the Fine Foam Frother and submerge the intake in cold milk. Select a milk-based specialty (cappuccino, latte macchiato, flat white). The machine brews and froths automatically in the correct sequence. Milk should be between 35–40°F for best foam.

Adjusting Milk Foam

Milk foam quantity and consistency can be adjusted per recipe. Navigate to the recipe settings to change foam volume. The HP1 frother creates light, fine-textured foam suitable for all milk specialty types.

Espresso and Black Coffee

Identical to the E4 — uses P.E.P. for ristretto and espresso, grind and volume adjustable per recipe. Double-tap any button to brew a double portion.

Grind Setting

Adjust grinder setting inside the hopper one click at a time while running. The E6 and E4 use the same grinder — start at 4 and adjust based on extraction time.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily Milk System

After preparing milk drinks, run the milk system rinse: detach the milk pipe and submerge the intake in a container of warm water (8.5oz / 250ml). Select the milk pipe rinse option or allow the automatic rinse. Rinse the Fine Foam Frother by disassembling it (twist counterclockwise to remove from the dual spout), rinsing each part under water, and reassembling.

Weekly Milk Cleaning

Run a full milk system clean with a Jura milk system cleaner tablet dissolved in 8.5oz of warm water. Follow the on-screen cleaning cycle. This removes milk fat residue from the internal milk circuit.

Machine Cleaning and Descaling

Run cleaning tablet cycles when prompted. Descale when prompted, using Jura descaling tablets. Replace the CLEARYL Smart filter every 50 liters or when prompted.

Troubleshooting

Milk Not Frothing

Check that the milk is cold (37–40°F), the milk pipe is fully connected, and the intake end is submerged in milk. Inspect the Fine Foam Frother for blockage — disassemble and rinse all components. Run a milk system clean cycle.

Weak or No Foam

Use full-fat dairy milk for best foam; plant-based milks foam differently. Ensure milk is very cold. Check that the frother nozzle is clean and free of dried milk residue.

Machine Errors / Not Brewing

Check water tank level, bean supply, grounds container, and drip tray. Ensure all components are properly seated.
