Setup & First Use

The Jura W8 is a Professional-series machine designed for small office use. Place on a stable, water-resistant surface. The machine holds a 3-liter (101oz) water tank and a 500g (17.6oz) bean hopper — significantly larger than home-series machines for less-frequent refilling.

On first use, configure water hardness and install the CLEARYL Pro Smart+ filter cartridge (larger format than home-series). Fill the tank with fresh cold water. The W8's professional-grade grinder is adjustable for grind fineness.

The W8 features separate spouts for black coffee and milk drinks — one spout for espresso and coffee, a second for milk-containing specialties. This separation reduces cross-contamination and simplifies hygiene in an office environment. Connect the milk pipe to the milk system and submerge in a milk container.

17 specialty recipes including espresso, ristretto, coffee, lungo, cappuccino, latte macchiato, flat white, macchiato, hot milk, and hot water. Coffee Eye Technology automatically adjusts spout height for optimal dispensing based on cup size.

Tutorials & Training

Office Workflow

The W8 is designed for 30–50 drinks per day in a small office. The 3-liter tank and 500g hopper mean less interruption for refilling. Auto-off programming allows the machine to shut down at end-of-day automatically — program the off time via the menu settings.

Coffee Eye Auto-Adjust

The Coffee Eye system recognizes the cup placed under the spout and automatically adjusts spout height for optimal fill. This reduces spatter and keeps the dispensing area cleaner.

Dual Spout System

The black coffee and milk spouts are physically separated. Use the correct spout based on your drink selection — the machine automatically routes to the appropriate spout. After milk drinks, run the milk system rinse to keep the milk circuit clean.

P.E.P. and 3D Brewing

The W8 includes Jura's full P.E.P. extraction for espresso and 3D Brewing for even water distribution through the coffee bed. All 17 recipes are individually programmable for volume, strength, and temperature.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Daily Milk Rinse

After milk preparation, run the automatic milk system rinse. The two-spout design requires rinsing the milk circuit separately from the coffee circuit.

Weekly

Run machine cleaning tablet cycles when prompted. Run full milk system clean with Jura milk cleaner tablets. Empty and wash the large drip tray and grounds container.

Filter Replacement

The W8 uses CLEARYL Pro Smart+ filters — larger capacity than home-series filters. Replace when the machine prompts based on RFID tracking. The larger filter handles the W8's higher daily volume.

Descaling

Descale when prompted using Jura descaling tablets. The W8's higher volume use means more frequent maintenance cycles. Follow all on-screen instructions carefully.

Troubleshooting

Wrong Spout Used

The machine automatically routes to the correct spout — ensure you have not manually blocked either spout. If a milk drink has no milk coming through the coffee spout, check the milk pipe connection.

Low Volume Output

Check that the large water tank is filled. The W8's pump is rated for high volume — if performance drops, check for scale buildup and run a descaling cycle.
